Now that that's cleared up, the matter at hand. Chances are if you're reading this you know I went to Warhammer World in Nottingham this week and attended a Victory is Vengeance Event.

This in itself was awesome, I had a great time, played some fantastic games including one on the Zone Mortalis Board which turned into one of the best games I have ever played (cue me making siren noises and imagining the lighting from Alien).

Not only did I play on of he best games of my life I also went on to win Best Team, a personal hobby dream, so I was over the moon with that!

With this win and this project in general I realised something...."why do I try and build army after army when I know smaller forces and smaller games are more my thing?". And you know I was right. From here on in I'm no longer building large armies for a system. I'm going to focus almost exclusively on skirmish systems, I get far more hobby enjoyment out of them, I can focus on painting alot more and push my skills, and it allows me to have my fingers in more pies so to speak!

My current project is a force for Shadow War, then I'll be getting back in Malifaux and then going back and doing another force for ViV!

Skirmish Games for the win!!!

Vinyls...
So anyone close to me knows that me and Shaunna have a vast collection of Pop! Vinyls...Disney, Movies, TV, you name it and we have a Pop! (Or several).

I've found myself thinking the past week or so that I may foray into the world of Custom Pop! Vinyl's, mainly Fallout one's to get me started.

Thinking that repainting various Power Armour Pops to match the in-game paint schemes would be really cool and a nice change of pace from Warhammer and may open doors into a new medium of painting and potentially give me a solid start in sculpting!

Keep your eyes peeled for that after Victory is Vengeance and hopefully it may be the start of something fun!

Cheers, Ben

From what we've seen it's safe to say I am cautiously optimistic about the upcoming edition and am hoping it's going to help me game more.

I find the current edition of 40k quite clunky and difficult to grasp at times which puts me off a little and means I only really play games from time to time, so hopefully that's about to change.

To that end I have decided that a new edition means a new army! After deciding between a number of Space Marine chapters (and at one point Orks) I finally settled on Scythes of the Emperor! Inspired greatly by Rob Bearup's army I have wanted to give these guys ago myself for a while, converting and kitbashed every marine in the army to create a characterful and unique force!

Attached is an image of my first mini, my WiP Captain, be sure to let me know what you think!

Cheers
